openware creative driver

trying to find it…

there was once recommended to me (back when I had an NX and it was of no use to me) an open source driver for audigy 2 soundcards. I now have an internal, and was trying to find it. Anyone know what I’m talking about?

Is it the KX Driver you are looking for? www.kxproject.com

Yeah, KX is worth a look at, but there’s also “hacked” Creative drivers which have much more functionality than the originals.

I’m not sure about the legality of them, but, if one has bought the Audigy’s legally, then it doesn’t upset my morality. Look on the same board as the KX forum is on.

"24/96 support for the Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS cards is under development."

So that means if I use Kx, then I’m not in 24 bit? that sucks.

And what sucks even more, is not reading all the info. :)

But to save you the time, the current KX driver will record and playback in stereo at 24/96, but not on the other available ZS2 channels.

Ok, I'm not following you. Also, what did they mean then about "24/96 support for the Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS cards is under development" then? I'm confused.
