Piano Roll Version 7.1.0 Beta

Its kicking my ass

Is there any documentation for the piano roll in 7,1.0 beta? It is completely different from 7.0.3. I need help, how do you insert notes, delete notes etc.

Akua,

you can find some info in the PDF version of the manual that you can download from http://ntrack.com/manual.php
In short the piano roll in version 7.1 adds the ability to edit MIDI events from multiple tracks at the same time. Editing notes has not changed, you can find the buttons to add, select and delete notes in the left part of the upper toolbar.
You can switch between single track and multiple tracks mode with the 2nd button in the top left corner of the window.
You can set which track you’re editing with the “track browser” right side pane. In song mode the right pane expands and lets you separately select which tracks to display and which one to actually edit. Some of the buttons still lack tooltips that tell what’s the function of the button when you leave the mouse over it. The tooltips will be added in the next Beta build later in the week.

Hey thanks brother but I got another question, I am accustomed to entering the steps (A thru X) while sequencing the drum patterns. Here is the video that shows how to do that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5hXSIQsbFs.
I am trying to do the same thing with the new piano roll, however it appears (and I may be incorrect) that the new piano roll only allows the entry of specific notes (whether kick drum, bongo, HH closed etc) but as I said, I wish to enter the steps ie. A thru X. How is that done in the new piano roll? I am also not seeing the C3, C4, C5 etc in the keyboard on the piano roll, instead am seeing instrument names. How do I know where C3 is located since that was always the level at which the drum steps started?

Scratch that. Thought that I had found it. Turns out not to be the case.
