Plugins not detected

dropped them into the right folder…

I downloaded the MDA pack. I dropped them into the plugins folder with the rest of the nTrack vst plugins but Ntrack doesn’t see them. Btw - I’m running the x64 version of Vista. Any ideas?

try re scanning for effects - (I presume you unzipped them)
Right click in a track effects window/box, Click on settings, that will open effects settings window - click on re-scan at bottom.

Hope that finds 'em.

right click on this image and select ‘view image’ for details.

If you un-zipped the download and copied (or extracted the zip) to “C:\Program Files\FASoft
-Track Studio 5\Vstplugins”… n-Track should “see” them. I don’t think this a Vista x64 problem but who knows? I don’t have x64 to check it with or I would be happy to do so.

D

As the guys said make sure they’re un-zipped and re-scan. I have the mda pack running in Vista 32, don’t think this is a 64 issue. Anyone else with Vista 64 got a clue?

Something…
Anything…

Sounds like a Todd LP, LOL

hmmm. I did all that. I unzipped them and dropped them into C:\Program Files\FASoft
-Track Studio 5 x64\Vstplugins (which is where the n-Track VST plugins are at). I then did a few rescans and they still were not found. I had installed a few VSTi’s in this folder before (the Cakewalk Studio Instruments pack) and those are found. I ran an installer for those plugins. But for some reason these others which were dropped into place are not found. Very strange.

Edit: Btw, I’m also running version 5.1.1 x64 build 2313 (28/10/2007)and it’s a registered copy.

Maybe this can provide another clue. In the scan log, all the plugins that fail follow this pattern…

4/25/2008 8:33:59 PM: Scanning c:\program files\fasoft
-track studio 5 x64\vstplugins\mda_vst_fx_win\mda Bandisto.dll
4/25/2008 8:33:59 PM: Loading c:\program files\fasoft
-track studio 5 x64\vstplugins\mda_vst_fx_win\mda Bandisto.dll
4/25/2008 8:33:59 PM: Error unloading plug-in dll: c:\program files\fasoft
-track studio 5 x64\vstplugins\mda_vst_fx_win\mda Bandisto.dll
4/25/2008 8:33:59 PM: c:\program files\fasoft
-track studio 5 x64\vstplugins\mda_vst_fx_win\mda Bandisto.dll: Scan failed

Maybe try removing the folder from vst’s in n, un-zip the mda’s directly to n’s vst folder and then add, and rescan. I searched the net this morn and didn’t find anything pertaining to not working with 64 machines.
Maybe someone with a better solution will pop in here.

Nah. Still no luck. I have a hard time believing nobody else would have this problem, though.

Is this the 64 bit version of n-Tracks or the 32 bit version running on 64 bit OS under WOW64? If it’s the native 64 bit n-Tracks then it may be possible that either it doesn’t support 32 bit plug-ins or there’s a problem scanning 32 bit plug-ins from within the 64 be test app.

Good question. It’s the 64 bit version. The 32 bit version wouldn’t install.
