Is that iggy pop? the Ode too part person?
is it “owed” or “ode” like, “Ode to the cast of Hawaii Five O” by George Jefferson.
Me likes the drums.

don’t be pre-judging me like that! why would you say that? I like it a lot!!
Good ole’ rock solid rock! Good to see you back to your level of prolificism…
prolificism.........
Yup. Tom is musical rabbit...

D
Rabbits are “fecund”
- geniuses like Mozart are prolific - I’m just smelly.
Just kidding about things, of course, Poppa.
I used kick and snare samples, and overdubbed metallic things, b/c you guys don’t appreciate my out of tempo basement sound… but I still like crappy basement sounding lofi drum kits recorded through a radio shark mic.
Hey Jeremy! - It’s a pun!
“Owed” in the sense that we all owe something to Iggy somewhere, musically or just in dripping wax, and have an obligation to show our appreciation.
But, yes, “ode” too.
OK, it’s a baaaaad pun, and wasn’t original when Adam made it to Eve one balmy afternoon in the Garden…

Yep...this one ROCKS!

Well I can certainly think of a David Bowie tune or two that are ode to him.

Anywho, I kinda had an idea it was meant as humor, the "owed" part, however, knowing El Whappo is far better educated than me the possibility still lingered that I have been spelling it wrong all these years which was why I asked.
-three amigos pun aside-
Tell me more of this garden and woman ye speak of? She still with that Adam guy? does she have a sister?

You captured that raw Iggy feel brilliantly. Nice drums and of course, the guitars are always great. All good Tom, nice ode indeed.
Still prefer Iggy’s original of China Girl to Bowie’s, although I can listen to either.

And indeed their writing

Well, I’m not an Iggy fan, nor a Bowie fan . . . .
. . . but . . .
I’m a Tom Spademan fan for sure!
Yaz, Yaz, Yaz…Yaz…Yaz…Yaz, Yaz, Yaz…
Not a fan of Iggy’s?
The reissue of Raw Power…OK…perhaps it is just a matter of what we heard growing up and all…but…
Thing is, all I’ve ever wanted to do was write stuff like Big Star, or the Replacements…and Jeremy, ya got me on the El Whappoo thing…

Some of your songs
have a Westerberg thing happening, Difford & Tilbrook, and at times they remind me of XTC. Best of all they are TomS originals.
I like this song. Great vocals, and guitar, but one of favorites is still Hamady Handbag
Thanks Mr. Duff. Very kind words. The Hamady Bag (actually should have been Hamady “Sack”) was one I found personally amusing, local history and all. Dunno if it is good to actually find one’s own stuff funny.
It makes me wanna head bang…wish I hadn’t had all my hair cut short!
Great sound as always Tom. love the ending…and of course, the drums.
