What a nice trip you got planned, spreadercraig…
Take your camera
and post us some photos
so we can
see what it’s like over there…
Can you…
????
I hear that the beach sand is very unique over there…

Over here, many Maritimers go to Cuba…
They don’t like CDN money around Cuba… They like USD/Greembacks…
What we have to do is convert our Loonies before we go…

All this is above-and-beyond the bunch
that winters in Florida…
sigh…

We just got a 15" snowfall on Thursday afternoon/Friday morning…
My snowblower worked perfectly…
NOW…
we are forcast a similar storm for Sunday evening/Monday morning… We’ll see…

When is it gonna end…
anyway…
????

D, what exactly is a Tusca?
I hear that its a little loosa!
Got a bunch of loose Republicans there?

Possible connection:
The Donkey— Presidential candidate Andrew Jackson was the first Democrat ever to be associated with the donkey symbol. His opponents during the election of 1828 tried to label him a "jackass" for his populist beliefs and slogan, "Let the people rule." Jackson was entertained by the notion and ended up using it to his advantage on his campaign posters.

But cartoonist Thomas Nast is credited with making the donkey the recognized symbol of the Democratic Party. It first appeared in a cartoon in Harper's Weekly in 1870, and was supposed to represent an anti-Civil War faction. But the public was immediately taken by it and by 1880 it had already become the unofficial symbol of the party.

The Elephant— Political cartoonist Thomas Nast was also responsible for the Republican Party elephant. In a cartoon that appeared in Harper's Weekly in 1874, Nast drew a donkey clothed in lion's skin, scaring away all the animals at the zoo. One of those animals, the elephant, was labeled "The Republican Vote." That's all it took for the elephant to become associated with the Republican Party.

Wowsers Graig, canary Islands, good deal Bud!

Well said!
My old friends from the Michigan area think that they live in the center of the universe.
Weird!
They can keep it! lol

We used to be the center of the universe, until the auto companies decided to leave... :D

Anyway, that looks pretty nice over there…

Everyone above the 45th paraelle < funny hehe…
needs to spend maybe three weeks to a month of their year in this kind of atmosphere…
But…
our systems are not set up for this kind of life…
Our blood is too heavy/thick…
We have little-if-any skin tan/tone…
we are starved of daylight-and-sunlight… then when we get to places like that we over-do ourselves and come home not feeling well for abusing ourselves in weather like that…

AnYwAy…

No, I think you don't feel well because you simply came home.

Heh... pretty much anything to do with Paris Hilton would be "roughing it". Can you imagine getting jiggy with that bean-pole? You might as well whack yourself in the crotch with a two by four...

D

Hi Gents:

I flew home from Orlando once and I thought it was the longest trip I ever made, in the air…
The cabin was so quiet you could have heard a cough drop and a pin fall at the same time…
It was well after dark when we got into the air…
The sky was so clear we saw the lights of the cities all the way up the coast…
It was spectaular being able to see the ground in the night time…
We cut to the east after seeing the Boston lights…
We didn’t see any ground till we touched down…
in the middle of a heavy, brutal snow storm…
I was lucky to make it home from the airport…
I’m a half hour from the airport…
That night it took me an hour and a half, to get home…

It’s so depressing to have to contend with that…

We are so bound by our weather here…

Every time we greet anyone we start off by saying what a storm we had…
OR…
Where did that weather come from ????
OR…
It can only get better…

But When. ????

Bill…

[EDIT]
I see you…
World Traveler…

:)
:agree:

[EDIT 2] Show-off… Sorry… hehe.

i'll bet some people pay good money for that. well, if it's spent on that, it no longer qualifies as 'good' money, i guess.
