On the boob toob… somewhere or another. My wifey was watchin… You know me Tom… I have an aversion to TV… too much BS on there.
Besides, there is a LOT of stuff I can see eye to eye with her on versus Obama’s line of “Anything you wanna hear as long as you VOTE for ME.” I get a lot of dope about the candidates on the web… which I admit, may be just as BAD…

Her videos are runnin through church women’s groups like wildfire… my wife got two links today. Good stuff.

Well, she has done NO live interviews post nomination - some speeches she did not write - but only in controlled situations.
Interesting that you are not the only person I've run into who thinks she has.
I'd just say this: y'all who want to vote on first impressions, hold on and don't make up your minds yet.
She has doen some very good things, but she has also done some atrocious things, and in any case it is far to early to tell what she would do as president.
Don't buy the horse without looking at its teeth, etc.
She is suppose to sit down with one of the big network anchors this evening I think. I can’t remember which… heard about it on the ray-o-diddy-i-o this mornin’.

Well gosh Tom... no wonder you're confused! She's running for Vice President not President!

I had my mind made up long before Palin was announced. I don't like the style of shoes TaBacky Obama wears and Mrs. Future President reminds me of a mean school cafeteria lady I knew when I was seven.
Good enough for me! LOL...

PS I typed this jokingly but sadly, a crap load of votes will come down to such "logic".
Yep - the Republicans have been saying that the election is about personalities and not issues, competence, judgment, or records, and seems to me they are correct.
And I meant “president” - seems like a pretty good chance she’d end up in that office - about 20% of VPs end up as P, after all.
“TaBacky” Obama? Is that what some folks are calling him? That’s about as racist as it gets. Disgusting.

No Tom. I haven't heard anybody call him that. Just for giggles though, explain why that would be construed as racist?
D
Hmmm, racist?
I don’t get that one.
I don’t get it either Yaz. I’ll wait for Tom to explain?
Where ya’ been Yazzer? Ain’t seen you around much lately? Finding time to do some music I hope?
D
How would you be different if say you were top banana
at MS, or Exxon, or Walmart?
Sorry - I missed this post.
To answer your question - couldn't happen. I could never be in such a position. I go along with Peter Gabriel on this one "If you want to keep control you've got to keep it small."
I've worked for big corporations; it's a soul-destroying experience. Fine, I suppose, if others wish to do so but it's not for me.
I realize that's a bit of a dodge but since I would never be willing to take that on I would never have to make those decisions.
And yes, I am a stockholder and yes, some of those stocks are in big corporations. But I do try to limit my (meager) investments to companies with a social conscience. Or those which, at least, appear to have a social conscience - the truth may be different.
I don't get it either Yaz. I'll wait for Tom to explain?

Sorry to hear about your daughter's woes Yaz. Hang in there buddy.

Hmm... Seems that was in error also... sorry!

You lying racist pig!
You lying racist pig!

Believe you me Poppa. D ain't got a racist bone in his body. J would not approve at all...

It's an interesting coincidence really... a fine outstanding African-American man is in a run-off for a seat on our city council and to my knowledge will be the first EVER if he wins. He has the qualifications I look for and he has my staunch support but really I couldn't care less what color his skin is...
He use to pastor a church here on "the other side of the tracks" *roll eyes* and our church use to take a Sunday a month and go have service with them and they would all come to our church once a month. It was awesome! Great bunch of people...

In this day and age you can't even hint or accidentally say anything that remotely could be considered a racist remark by anyone anywhere - other planets included. You will instantly be tagged as a racist or bigot. This is the one thing the McCain campaign can not even think of risking. And must be acutely aware of. Just because of the color of a man's skin.
Of course, this happened 30 years before I was born in Fort Payne… but this is where I live now and our cities “Claim to SHAME”…

Oh man, I remember that movie “Heaven’s Fall”

If you're worried about being called racist, you need to go ahead and vote for Obama. I've already heard someone who I originally thought was a sensible black author or speaker of some sort on C-SPAN state that racism is the only reason someone wouldn't vote for Obama in this political climate.
