I have past the last 2 weeks, recording with NTRACK this song. I would like that you can help with the song giving me some feedback about it:

- What’s wrong in the song?
- how can i improve the final mix?
- help to improve the voice mixing?
- do you like the song?
- is it something missing?

I really like the final mix, but i’m sure that you can help me to make it better.

I have used:
- N’TRACK to mix
- Fruity Loops for drums and bass
- Line6 TOneport UX2 to record guitar and voice

Music is not bad - the lyric is pretty out there for my taste. I try not to use the word **** in my lyrics though. Call me a prude I rectum. er… reckon.

I don’t mind vulgarity - if it’s sung or spoken right - you need a new singer though! Music sounds fine

Yeah, i think that the lowest point it’s the voice, too… i wil try more takes to improve it.

PD: the lyrics was a really bad day about the f**** world news… was dispear and hate.

I can see where you’re coming from, a little faster and messier and it would sound like the Sex Pistols. Somewhere out there there is someone who would love this song… but I would:
a) you’ve got the left and right guitars and vocals doing the same rythym and melody, I would have the right guitar doing some whole notes, or at least something different than what the vocals and left guitar are doing.
b) the vocals can be out of tune or messy because the song has a feel like that. But I would toy with some effects or VST plugins, try a phaser or flanger to weird it up some.
c) I would have the vocal range a little wider, like hitting some higher notes, I think throughout the thing you’re only singing about 4 different tones. I would look for some spots to sing out, some higher notes and a p___ed off scream somewhere would give it some soul.
d) try some more reverb on the drums. I have some tracks I love where I put reverb on top of reverb on top of reverb on the drums and it sounded like a huge cavern.
But hey, just some ideas, it’s your song - be true to yourself and make it what you want it to be.

thanks, nixon… i will try to improve the vocals (i thought about some flange but i didnt’ dare it)… I’m just starting…

I like it! (I was in a punk band for a spell back in the college days, real punk, not Green Day type stuff). I would bring out the vocals more, and you need to sing it more pissed off, give it more edge. Freakin’ scream out the vocals dude! :)

Ok, I see that you all wanted to sack off the singer… yeah… but it’s the leader of the band… it would be not easy…heheh.

I will try to post the next time a more tuned voice… I dint scream more because ot the neighbours… I will try it today…

Well i have replaced the file.mp3 for the new-last version…
I have singed about 15 more times the song … and the best was the original…

i have added a bit of compression and EQ to the voice and i think it sounds finer…

thanks, for your help… i guess in a few days/a week I post a new song…
