this is a standalone MIDI to WAVE converter - worth a look -

I tried the recording again (sevenOfeleven’s recommendation)but I still come up almost empty. There is something on teh audio track but it is way down in the noise. It seems to be more of a leak than a connection.
The sound card’s record input is selected correctly and the audio track is the only one enabled to record (from the sound card output). The levels are all up there so it isn’t just muted.
Also, a new track is created (midi 5) with nothing on it.
Sorry if this seems like a disconnect between the headphones…
Also: I have tried this MIDI to wave/mp3/wma application: http://www.midi2wav.com/
and it works - pretty straightforward UI. It’s a little easier than the polyhedric app to a new guy.
I am really starting to like n-Track, especially the effects plugins. This is really cool stuff, even if it does crash now and again…
So I think I’ll keep swinging at the midi conversions for a little while but I already have two ways to convert them into wave files and that’s all due to the help I got on this board. Thanks to Dr. J, Poppa, sevenOfeleven, Diogenes, woxnerw, and I probably forgot someone …
