LOL... I don't mind getting old as long as I KEEP GETTING OLD... It's like falling off a tall building, it doesn't hurt that bad until that sudden stop at the end... :p

'the heartbreak of siriusis '

'the headache of sinusitis'

Those are some of the names that inspire us all to continue playing the music we make… I’m not as Southern Country as I think I am…

I’ll never forget hearing Chet Atkins playing a concert at the Rebecca Cohen Theater… When I looked around at all the guitar players that were there, they were all breathing with their mouths wide open… It was back in '78 or '79… He only brought his guitars and pedals with him… I remember working all day to get a Peavey Artist (Early Version) Amp ready for him, and the stage… What a lousy amp it was for him to play through… at least I thought so…

Bill…

Didn't matter a bit Bill. Chet coulda been playing through waxed strings and coffee cans and STILL made folks stand around with their jaws on the floor...

Look for some YouTube videos of Tommy Emmanuel. He plays a lot of the "old school" styles. Makes you wanna chop your guitars up and burn 'em...

Doyle Dykes does that to me - man what a freak.

Hi Ya Poppa!!

Had a GREAT service at church tonight! :agree:

Our acoustic player on the praise team has a Taylor “Doyle Dykes Model”… that is one SWEET guitar. Rumor has it, Doyle himself owned this one at one point… but how does one confirm that? Yeah… I hear you. Guys like Dykes, Emmanuel, Phil Keaggy… man, what virtuosos… I got gipped when God was handing out “Talent”. I think those guys got my share!

Ya some inspirational players and writers for sure.

I think Peavey was a real popular amp in the country genera, your right bill. Fender and Marshall dominate the blues world. Anyway it's a great station!

Blues doesn’t have much to do with heart breaks. It’s a scale. It’s mostly upbeat and more of a celebration. Like dance the blues away. Most drummers will know that, great beats come from blues. However some blues artists used the heartbreak theme to create a specific style for themselves. If you have sirius radio and your a musician and your not listening to some blues, your missing out. Just look at the list of bands and artists.
You can get any style and genera at sirius, and hear it online.
