Sound increases when playing alone

Hello there!

I’m currently using n-Track version 10.5.174 on android 13 in a Galaxy Samsung (idk if all this info is necessary) and I would like to know if it’s a feature or a bug when a track’s volume increases when other instruments stop playing and when it decreases as other instruments starts to play. As far as I saw, the volume menu does not show variation, but I can notice the difference when the instrument is playing alone or with other instruments.

Thank you.

Hi,

this might be happening because the master is overloaded and the builtin soft clipping kicks in to avoid distortion. Try lowering the master volume and see if the behavior changes. Or alternatively try disabling “Soft clipping” from the Settings. Or of course other dynamics effects such as Limiter or Compressor on the master might also cause this.

Hello Flavio,

Thank you so much for your help, it worked. I don’t have much idea of how to use master channel, but that was interesting. But what actually solved the problem was soft clipping (which I thought it had something to do with grid and parts). Again, thank you for your help!
