Tablet UI Improvement: Fullscreen Mixer Layout & Fader Usability

Hi n-Track team and community,

I’ve been using n-Track Studio on an 11–13 inch Android tablet, and I’d like to share some feedback regarding the Mixer window layout and overall usability on larger screens.

Here are a few points and issues I’ve encountered:

  1. Default Windowed Mixer View & Fullscreen Scroll Bug:

Opening the mixer as a half-screen window doesn’t make much sense on 11–13 inch display tablets where space isn’t as restricted. More importantly, there seems to be a functional bug: when working with 10 or more channels, horizontal scrolling works fine in the smaller windowed view, but scrolling stops working completely when expanded to fullscreen.

  2. Layout & Fader Usability in Fullscreen:

The fullscreen mixer view should be much more functional. Currently, the faders are too narrow and tall, which makes fine volume adjustments difficult on touchscreens. Wider faders would provide far better control. Additionally, dedicated Gain controls should be accessible directly within the mixer view.

  3. Channel Strip & Fader Coloring:

It would be extremely helpful if we could color the entire fader/channel strip instead of just a small accent, including support for custom intermediate colors/tints. This would make track navigation and visual identification during complex mixes significantly faster and clearer.

I hope this feedback helps improve the tablet experience. Would love to hear if other tablet users are experiencing the same scrolling issue or feel similarly about the mixer layout!

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions. The bug with the horizontal scrolling on the maximized mixer will be fixed in the next update.

Flavio.
