I remembered this tune I wrote years ago when jdet or someone mentioned ex’s
Straight guitar vocal demo.
The Wrong Side Of Town
Thanx for the memories jdet - ewwwwwwww
lo siento. they’re ewwwwwww for me still, too (clearly).
Kenny Rogers is written all over this one. Plastered in yellow letters 100 ft. high. Go ahead, tell me I’m wrong!
The description of country music that I’ve heard that I like the best is “three chords and the truth.” That’s definitely when it’s the most effective. Like right here.
Your voice, T – I’ll just say I wish I had that instrument!
Wish I could sing that easily. Nice honest piece Tommy!
Another song about class warfare!
Cool!
Kidding, Mr. Willis!
Very nice song.
Good songs work with just a guitar and the vox.
But did you ever get a chance to dress that one up?
If you are looking for a copy of the UK single with Lucy Ain’t Your Loser Lookin Good" b/w “Wiggle Wiggle” (oh, I hope you didn’t write that, from the title away it sounds like a throw-away. but I’m probably wrong!) you can find one here at the bottom of the list:

Thanks guys for the kind reviews… ya’ll should write for Billboard.
I had no idea I could still find a copy of that thing - thanks for the link T - I have the LP but think I’ll get that single. I did NOT write ‘wiggle, wiggle’ but when you find out who did it will surprise you to see how many grea tunes he has written. I use to ‘raz’ him over that song. Wiggle was suppose to be the A side and the dj’s started playing Lucy instead - for some reason it was big in the UK too… go figure.
Ya’ll are too kind.
BOB DYLAN!?!?
I thought it might have been Jeff Wiggle, or maybe Murray.
Layng Martine Jr.- He had Elvis’ last release (living that is) - I think it was actually #1 when elvis died. ‘Way Down…’ I quit jokin’ him about wiggle wiggle after that.
That’s my trivia for the day…
Well, wrong “Wiggle Wiggle,” then.
Nice to hear harmonies on a track like this too.
Beautiful!
I really enjoyed this song,
it kinda reminds me of Garth Brooks, you’ve a lovely tone, simplicity at its best
