random phrases=random songs!
Rob (partner) and I are always coming out with random phrases followed by “ooh! There’s a song in that!â€
we say it so much that there has even been talk of a song called “There’s a song in that†(i reckon it’d make a good co-written trackie collaboration! )
any how, my question to you is, what is the most random phrase you’ve picked up on and put into song? or are there any random phrases you wanna put into song and haven’t, or just things you feel should be, like sausages and meatballs!!!
I was in a pub doing an open mic session and the local skittle team were having their ‘after game munch’ i shouted out “save me a sausage” and my mate shouted “make it a big one” we Simultaneously said “ooh! there’s a song in that” …
Save me a sausage by Ange Hardy.
Playing at the local pub, sat
drinking beer and talking crap
sing my song and then go back
to drink more beer and talk more crap
Quite content I sit and chat
until the local skittle chaps
get the grub out and then wrap
their greasy gobs around a bap!
Save me a sausage, and make it a big one…
Don’t think it’s very fair
that the lot of you can sit there
tucking in to sausage meat
and not give me a scrap to eat
I’ve sat up on the stage all night
singing songs for your delight
and you ungrateful bunch of shite’s
couldn’t spare me just one bite!
Save me a sausage, and make it a big one…
I just want a nice big porky treat
something I can wrap my lips around and eat
don’t even want one of your finger buns
just want a sausage (or maybe a meatball)
and make…it…a big one!!!
For the skittle chaps in the ‘Flying horse’ Taunton, xxx (they loved it! )
I just want a nice big porky treat
something I can wrap my lips around and eat
don't even want one of your finger buns
just want a sausage (or maybe a meatball)
and make...it...a big one!!!
Don't even want to go into the connotations of that Ange, sounds like dangerous ground

Great fun, A sausage bap and a pint of Taunton Cider....sounds like heaven!

I can hear Kirsty McColl doing this Ange, it could work!
Sounds like you want a ‘meal’ and not a ‘snack’.
That is sssoooooo good!
There was this pub, Primrose Hill, NW3, where they always closed by yelling, “There’s plenty of time for drinking tomorrow!” always thought that should be a song!
Hmm… you’ve given me an idea…
Grind it up!
Thick or thin… No matter. Stuff it in.
Grind it up! Stuff it in!
Dash of salt… a little pepper…
Whatever it takes to make it better.
Grind it up! Stuff it in!
Mystery meat in an intestine!
Tie it in knots or mash it flat…
Thin as a straw or thick as a pole.
Make it lean or make it fat, it don’t matter
We like it like that!
Grind it up! Stuff it in!
Mystery meat in an intestine!
Good on pizza… good with beer…
What is in it you might ask?
Who cares! Get outta here!
I’m not on some kind of fast…
Grind it up! Stuff it in!
Mystery meat in an intestine!
