To our Black Brothers and Sisters

Congradulations!

I have personally remarked about this; the respect that I have for our black statesmen, “Aferican Americans” living here in the great US.
They came from slavery using style, brains, and patients.
With the exception of a few, as a race they have never advocated violence and won their
battles by believing in the constitution and educating them selves.
You’ve contributed to the betterment of the States.
You helped us win wars and many other things, even showed us how to play music!
My hat is off to all Black people living here in the United States!
Tomorrow is a big day for you, and I am proud of you!
I honestly salute you all!
Levi!

I personally think it is a big day for all of us. Should I give my students the day off?

YES! Celebrate!

Celebrate change. For better… or worse. Time will tell.

Might be a good idea!

D, it isn't a bad thing. Seeing the pros and cons.
Unless one gets caught up constantly putting off making a decision based on indecisiveness of course.
I believe all change leads to better.
Even if it's bad to start with.
But there isn't anything bad about Barack Obama, this guy has some definite smarts and a lot of style.
This is a great country!

Oooohhh... naw... I better not.

I’m very proud of African Americans, that’s what this thread is about.

Hm - my students mostly did not want to take the day off - they wanted to talk about the deep structure of normative theory across the disciplines.

Now that’s reason to hope! My students rock!

What a pathetic bunch of nerds... How's that tripe gonna help 'em get a job with the road department in the coming "bail out" economy? :p

This would help more;

Use a Spade to shovel the asphalt mix into potholes. The square tip is handy for pushing it into the cracks.

Use a Barn shovel to heave loads of mix into BIG potholes, then grab the ol' Spade to pack it into the crevasses.

Should they end up in plumbing or pipeworks;

Hot's on the left.
Cold is on the right.
S$%t don't flow uphill.

I tell them I teach them languages of power. Good if they want to be lawyers or elected officials or embarass their relatives at the dinner table.

Keep doing it Tom… You know I’m just goofin’ around. Knowledge is power… power nobody can take away from you.

D

I know perfectly well you are goofing around.

So am I.

Isn’t that what we come here to do, at least a lot of the time?

I’m damn blessed to have you folks to goof around with.

See, there’s some people up here who are crazier than hell…

So when you gonna be able to tell everyone the story behind “Arkansas?”
