a couple things
I’ll try to add a bug report tomorrow, to sleepy now.
But I’m occasionally finding tracks deleted when deleting parts, not nice!
Another thing it’s doing wrong is totally freezing and shutting one down if changing a preset in the nTrack parametric Equalizer during playback.
I still haven’t worked with lanes.

there is already a bug report on the EQ/playback issue.
Anyone else loose tracks when deleting a part?
Yep, same here Levi.

Thx yaz.
I've lost some sweet stuff recently because of that. But on the bright side, I created some awesome and new cuss words because of it too. So that's good, although my neighbors are starting to fear me

To try to complete work on a song so I could get back to work I’ve avoided lanes by adding blank audio trks above and below the track that I’m working on.
And record a new part on to one of them.
I noticed when I right click on a part that I"VE HIGHLITED for deletion, as soon as I right click on it the hightlight shifts to the next part, fairly often.
I’m not sure what’s happening when a track gets deleted though.
If it’s my neighbor, PkW is right.
He’ll end up shot in the foot at the least
I’m not sure how to bug report the vanishing track issue becaues it doesn’t happen that often.
Twice in a couple weeks.
Once is to often though!
But I do suggest for now just deleting the part to your recycle bucket instead of cyber space where all is lost like I did.
are you talking about losing entire tracks when deleting a track part? or did I get confused here?

That I am good man, sweet tracks with magic when targeting a single part for deleation, gone with the wind.
I used to be able to “right click” a track part, it would highlite and I could then select “remove part”. I can’t do this anymore, the track part won’t highlite. Really it came down to this. It would highlite but I had to highlite in exactly the center of the track then I could highlite the track part. This is when all the tracks are squeezed small and thin. I don’t know if this has anything to do with this issue in this thread.

Yea it could. Have you tested that with the tracks spread out good buddy?
are you splitting the track at the edit point then deleting or how are you selecting the part for deletion?
Also do you have destructive edit selected by chance?
I just did about 6 track split/remove parts and had no issues at all.

No destructive editing at all.
Doing what I've always done, right clicking on a part and choosing remove part.
And then a whole track a few tracks up goes.
Not caused by me, this is a real oddity.
It's going to get technical from this point on.
It has something to do with lanes, while still working in nTrack as if lanes didn't exist.
Because if you record onto an existing track at some point.
nTrack lanes automatically come into play.
To avoid this I add a blank track to record an additional part onto.
If I move the part I recorded in the blank track onto the track with the main body of work.
nTrack gets confused and adds it as a second take not as an individual part, so to speak.
I think this is what is causing the issue.
And then a suntan amount of moving the part (from one track to another) causes some sequence that triggers a track being deleted instead of a part.
It might take a while to pin point this.
And will probably only happen to those who are not utilizing lanes.

thats good. If you start sliding parts onto different tracks be careful. It only happened to me twice in about 2 or 3 weeks. Just be sure to delete to the recycle bin for now just in case it isn't my neighbor!
The problem I’m seeing is related to tracks highlighting and not turning off when you highlight another track, I think this is the problem (bug maybe?)
it does the same thing to me when I’m using draw envelops, a track highlighted 3 mins ago doesn’t de-highlight when i click a new track for envelop drawing. Wondered where the volume went on that snare!
It appears you have to hold the left mouse button down until the part becomes highlighted (with an outline) then you should be OK. To remove multiple parts hold Shift key down and left click (actually its more than a click - you have to depress the left mouse button til the part(s) become highlighted).

I is talking about highlighted parts big guy.
Are you saying that when we left click on them and they look highlighted with the outline visible, that they aren't actually highlighted until one uses your method of slammin down the shift key control pedal too?

I’ve left clicked on one part until it highlighted, then right clicked on it for the options list and that caused another part to highlight! Figure that one out!!!
I don’t seem to have that problem. I loaded a bunch of parts onto a bunch of tracks, and did single and muliptle part removes. (First left mouse to select - Then right mouse for remove menu) Not saying you aint experiencing probs. Just saying I can’t make it happen here. But I’m still using 2459 on my lappy. So - Oh I know - here’s one of those messed up useless ‘help’ replies - “Did you try a different mouse”?
