Is there a way to transfer the custom “saved” effects settings to another computer running Ntrack? For example, let’s say I have this good eq setting saved as “myDrums”. It’s saved locally, but is there a file or something that holds this info, so i can transfer to another computer?
presets for various types of plugins are stored in different places on the disk.
For VST3 plugins, presets are stored in:
C:\Users[Your username]\Documents\VST3 Presets (Windows)
Documents/VST3 Presets (Mac)
For n-Track nEfx plugins, they are stored in:
C:\Users[Your username]\AppData\Roaming\n-Track Studio 9\BuiltInPreset
~/Library/Application Support/n-Track Studio 9/BuiltInPreset
For VST2 plugins n-Track asks to pick a file manually when you try to save or load the preset, so you can pick any folder you like.
If you copy the paths above to the new PC you should be able to reload the presets.
Thanks for the information however, the path I have is slightly different than the one you are stating for the n-Track nEfx plugins. My path stops at BuiltInPreset with only a “Compressor” folder listed. I only have: C:\Users\Harrison\AppData\Roaming\n-Track Studio 9\BuiltInPreset\Compressor.
Additionally I’m trying to copy my saved EQ setting. The EQ that’s on the track mixer. Is that where the saved EQ setting would be stored in the path you gave?
Hey another way might be to create a project with all your effects presets you want to save in it. Then save it as a packed song file and export it to where you want it send it, then re-save each one as a new preset in that device.
