Hello all,
No matter what I try, I cannot get any third party VST plugins / instruments to show up in either list when I try to insert an instrument… I have them copied into different folders within Ntrack, but apparently I am missing something.
I have Ntrack 7 on Win 7 64 bit
Sorry the topic should read VST instruments DO NOT show up…
Lurch,
make sure the VSTs are in one of the folders that n-Track scans. You can set the folders in the track right click menu -> Effects -> Add effect -> Customize box. Try also the “Show scan log” button to see if you can get a clue on what’s happening.
Flavio.
Hi Flavio,
I have tried setting the folders, but apparently after I do a rescan, the folders still aren’t being recognized. I copied some of the contents of the scan log and posted below, but
I’m not so sure I can interpret any of it. There are numerous other entries in the scan log similar to this , but I just used the info below as an example.

I tried to edit my original message but I don’t have privileges.
Lurch,
is the 303-alpha plugin 32 or 64 bit? Note that the 64 bit version of n-Track 6 could only load 64 bit native plugins, not 32 bit ones. Try downloading and installing the 32 bit version of n-Track.
We added the nBridge module in n-Track 7, which lets the 64 bit version of n-Track load 32 bit native plugins.
Flavio.
Hi Flavio,
Yes I believe 303 was 32 bit and some of the others were too. I downloaded a couple specified 64 bit plugins and they do show up. So it’s just a matter of downloading 64 bit plugins only.
