Ok, this is pretty wierd. When I record my recording monitor says -6 to -9 db so that 's good…The sound is good but my waves in the timeline are maxed out and the wave timeline quits recording wave patterns at 20 sec. but when the playback line goes beyond 20 sec. I’s still getting producing good sound even tho no wave visual exists. what is up here? is there a magnification setting on the timeline that I hit?

AAAAAHHHHH AAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHH watch out for the “enable live recording” box. in your asio settings dialog box…it’s a sneaky little bugger. I’m back to normal.
