Waveform display colors, contrast

Hello from Josh, using an iPhone 12 Pro, latest iOS 18.4, N-Track 10.3.8 for iOS.

Is there any update on the display colors for iOS version 10? It would be great to make the actual waveform color be adjustable independently of the surrounding part’s color; an earlier version shown in Google images (see pic) showed an all white waveform against a colored background, and you can’t go wrong with a solid black waveform against a colored background. Maybe some DAW apps can get a little garish looking (no name calling, you know who they are), but good contrast is essential for us older folks.

Also, can the waveform display section of the GUI settings menu have actual visual examples to choose from? Currently one has to navigate several windows to see what changed (if anything) and return to all the choices.

Thanks, Josh

Welcome to the forum! I agree that would be a cool option. The Windows version used to have “Skins” that had lotsa cool textures and looks. I appreciate the color options we’ve got, but the more the merrier!!!

Hello @Joshcello, welcome to the n-Track forum!

We’ve reviewed those options and found that many of them were actually legacy settings that no longer have any real impact on waveform rendering. We’ve kept the only one that’s still relevant and moved it to the main settings menu for easier access.

That said, I totally understand your point. We’re considering adding some form of skinning options on mobile as well—similar to what’s already available on the desktop version. This could include a high-contrast mode for those who need or prefer it.

Thanks again for your feedback!
