I once pulled a broke VHS player out of the trash at an apartment I was living. It had a “adult art film” video stuck in it. Got both working at no cost to me. Does that count?

One of the advantages of living in an apartment is being able to pull crap out of the garbage when folks move and don’t want to take eveything with them. Much of my furniture was free…so yes I really did do that.

Yes they do…I also got a perfectly good Les Paul that way. A Memphis copy, but a great guitar.
