Gave it some time before commenting mate, because on 1st hearing i thought the lyrics were a bit cliched, but I think that was coloured by the fact that YOU thought they were

On a different note, it takes me a few days to get everything into my brain after a recording, and I dunno if anyone else noticed, but I went quite out of key on some notes there (after 1000 listens on the car stereo)…I think anyway, but it quite upset my day…I actually felt sick…
I’ve tried to compensate by lifting the bum notes a little in WavePad and adding them to the finished mixdown.
I’m bummed I can’t remix the whole thing after losing some of the tracks.
I just can’t relax…
I need another drink… 
If you listen to yourself 1000 times, you can’t help but find something you wished you’d done better. Little things you never noticed before become major flaws in your mind, and if you do manage to fix them all, you’ll end up with a perfectly sterile recording.
Then again, maybe I’m just rationalizing the shortcomings of my own recordings… lol
