Here's some Stuff

I’m working on…

If I can ever get my setup working the way it used to work

I would be so happy…

Anyway, I’m checking to see if this link, is secure when it opens…

Bill…

I guess it don’t work… :heart-break:

I think for public sharing you need to have the folder in the ‘Public’ folder. Then link to it. Otherwise you have to invite each person to a particular folder. Security.

Hi Poppa Willis:

Thanks for the reply…
At first Glance, I questioned the security of DropBox…
Anyway, I have the files/folder I’d like to share in my Public Folder…
Even in the public folder the link I posted doesn’t permit opening…
Unless I didn’t Carry out the permission correctly… Do you think that may have been the reason for for the link not pointing to the folder?

Bill…

I got permissions and clearance to post this stuff on a public domain…

I may just load it over on CookieFinger for a place that they can mail links to to their families-and-all…
We’ll see… ???

You see, this material was originally distributed in vinyl, way back in the early '70’s…

The guitar player on this recording is not with us anymore… However, their families are still with us…

Bill…

Look forward to hearing it!

Hi TomS:

This stuff is gonna be a throw-back to the early '70’s…
OR
A backward step-in-time…
All this stuff I’m working on is what the local music scene over here was about as the Bart Bands navigated through their interests in music…
It was a thriving community back then…
We all had work… (the guys that wanted to put the hours in)I don’t know how we did it…
A day-time job and a night-time job…
We all worked
seven days a week…
Times didn’t seem to be as complicated back then as they seem to be in this day-and-age…

The ones who chose to do so, had something to sell off their stages…
Photos and all…
Pocket change, for whatever…
????
You know…

Anyway, I discovered how to upload a series of cuts to assemble an album…
I failed pretty bad on the earlier effort…
I don’t know if I can fix the Maritime Express Album…

I’d like to have another crack at seeing if I can FIX it…

I’ll post a link to this latest Album, as I get it completed…

Bill…

I got that Stuff loaded over at Organization/Bandcamp Site finally…

My upload speed is struggling with my Internet and Server issues…
Anyway, I am improving, I think at organizing that Bandcamp page …
BUT
no much…
I’m not so sure if I can fix the issues up there, as I see the page…

Oh Hummmm…

:p
???

Bill…

Bill’s link

In 12 years this is the FIRST time I have ever heard one of your tracks.

Bill had posted some stuff a few years ago, I do remember that - stuff from the radio, I think?

anyway, I’m off to download and listen!

No, Poppa, that’s a link to a song he put up a while back. I don’t think this is the new stuff, is it, Bill?

the link he posted wouldn’t work for me …

Hi Gents:

We were working on the amp restoration bench for most of the day…
I’m just getting home…
Sorry all…
it appears that Bandcamp was down for part of the day…
When I went to this link I got Something like…
Bandcamp is closed for maintenance, or something like that…
Then I got replies that they’ve got onto the site and downloaded the Organization Album and all appears fine…
Lots of mixed results there…
My uploading for this project went without a hitch…
BUT
I have an awful site as far as clutter goes…
I need to come up-to speed with the way Bandcamp requests it’s users to behave to their privileges go…

I’ll get busy and see just what went astray, when I created that link…
I might be asking question, later regarding a decent knowledge base for the site…

Bill…

[edit]
I believe Poppa Willis is pretty close to locating those songs…
You have to be on the Maritime Express page to see the Organization materiaL…

[EDIT] Tell me how I did it that way ???? I can’t tell you why…

I only found the one song. I’m missing something?

I can’t figure out what’s wrong with the link…
It’s like what you all are saying…
BROKEN…
I can open the link when I’m logged on to the bandcamp page…
BUT that’s no good for directing anyone to the page…

We worked all afternoon on that Danelectro guitar amp…
It’s gonna be beautiful when we get it assembled…
New output transformer and tubes and rebuilt power supply…
What a sweet sound it’s gonna have…
OoHh yea…
another 12" speaker, as well…
I’ll get some photos of it the next day I’m there…

A google of Maritime Express
brings up the Album that I posted in the spring…
BUT
Not The Organization Album… NO-GO…
sigh…
However, the Maritime Express page is so unorganized it’s pitiful…
There are six songs on the Maritime Express mini Album…
That’s all we did on that Album…

I don’t have a handle on how to work that site…
and…
don’t be hanging around on the same rock structure that I’m on…
I’ll be snooring my head off…
I need sleep…
BAD…

Bill…

I managed to hear severel songs & i dont have a great knoledge of this sort of music but i really enjoyed it all. were you gigging with this lineup? it sounded very professional but i was amazed to find such a folksy, rootsy sounding band had midi drums it didnt seem right & back in the 70s aswell! there must be a lot of scottish in your part of the world by the surnames!

Tina

Doing that stuff was a delicate balancing act…
Leonard was so traditional toward the music we did, that it hurt…
There was a recipe laid out, by him, for our arrangements…
We couldn’t track a real drummer in out tracking studio…
I programed the HR-16…
and that’s what we came up with after we argued over how it should be…
Anyway, he’s not with us anymore…
:heart-break:
I miss him every day when I’d like to have him do a Steel Guitar or Dobro Track for ideas that are fading all-to-fast, for me…

OoHh Yea…
We were the first act, in these parts to do Scottish Heavy Metal with a bit of Gospel, thrown in… aka.
:)
:p
1963…

Bill…

Hi Today:

Success…
At Last…
I believe I have organized the Bandcamp Site to include the Link to the Organization vinyl release 1973…

It
(The Bandcamp Site) for L&B Productions.etc, still requires a huge amount of Fixing-and-Reorganization, to make the page correct and able to navigate by a normal user, who wants to download any of this material…

I would be interested in your comments as to how you find these links are behaving for you, now that I think they’re working for me…

Bill…

Link works for me, Bill.

Nice tunes. :agree: Especially like the bass in “I Believe In Music”.
