I just want to thank all you guys. This is the first time I’ve poked my head in here in a very long time, and you all have warmed my heart to bursting - and just made my Thanksgiving morning.
If my little gesture has improved the state of things here, I just couldn’t be more pleased. The plan was nowhere near that grand.
By the way - I’ve renamed Mike’s forum “Mike’s own REALLY REALLY BIG place”. And no… I don’t go in there either.

For the record - Mr Soul’s leaving here had nothing to do with Pete’s place. He got tired of the whiners whinning at him.

Looks like Mike’s place is how this palce used to be - 95% of the page covered by threads started by tokersoulcharlie with 0 replies that contain a single link or a cut and paste. No loss for this forum.
Of course, most of the people who were bothered by SoulToker’s posts are the ones who took the time to click, read, and respond to his threads on a regular basis.

But yeah, I was as bad an offender, for sure. To be honest, I would barely just scan it (99% I didn’t even open the thread) because all the US demo vs repub shit he would post means nothing to me. It was mainly his manner (ie, we’re all stupid) and constant… spamming… that bugged me. If I thought for one second that he was having an original thought I think I would have been much more tolerant.
I remember a pic Hux once posted on the web in another forum - “Winning an argument on the web is like winning the special olympics. Even if you win, you’re still retarded” - and I felt a bit that way at times. No point, but I did it anyway, and I stand by it. I also decided to
leave, but… obviously didn’t.

Well known phenomenon Wihan; and theologians, spiritualists, para-psychologists. etc., account for it in one of three ways:
(1). Unfinished business. When the dear departed feel they have something to left to accomplish; a portion of their soul hangs around, rattling chains, making moaning sounds, posting irrelevant posts, and generally being a bit of pain in the arse.
(2). Reluctance to move on. Some souls find the prospect of moving on to heaven/paradise/Valhalla/etc., a bit daunting, and consequently hang around in old familiar territory. Exorcism is the only good solution. Mind you, napalm can be quite effective too.
(3). Refusal to accept they are no longer part of the material plane; i.e., they don’t know that they’re dead. (Basically, this demonstrates that you don’t have to be alive to be as thick as shit). Sadly, there is no solution for this. You just have to be patient and wait for the shade to fade away; and this generally starts to happen the first time they try to take a leak.
However in this particular haunting, I’ve no doubt that the phantasm will stick around forever. Reincarnation is a possibility, but only if we can find an understanding and very sympathetic pregnant goat.
