"Hey D, tried to open the files on that link you posted and get pages of code or something."
Yaz, you probably have to right-click and do a "Save Link As..." thing. Some of them are WMA and some are mp3. The fake sheets are up there for some tunes also. Our repertoire has gotten rather large... so much that sometimes we go back to a song and I have COMPLETELY forgotten it. Alzheimer's settin in I guess.
"Cap guns"... yep that brings back some memories. You use to could buy a bazillion rolls of caps for a nickel. What a great time we had...
Speaking of old times... I remember our little motorcycles dad bought when I was about nine or ten years old. Mom would give me a dollar and I'd ride through the woods to a little country store to get gas. I'd fill up the motorcycle, get a coke, a candy bar and a few pieces of Bubble Gum and have a few pennies left over. I think it took thirty five cents to fill up my little Suzuki. Probably take six or seven dollars today. *sigh*
Posting your bare address on a forum… you are a brave brave man… or you need a fast mortgage refi with the BEST RATES AVAILABLE or are addicted to prescription drugs and just don’t know where to find a fix.
ahem, back to the contest, I was wondering, when you do this contest again next summer, , maybe y’all would consider setting up the categories differently? Just that different songs are really good for totally different reasons (looking back at the discussion about “how do you vote?”) Some are good for their groove and sound, others for the lyrics, categories could be a little more specific, what we have now is a really divergent group of songs in all 3 categories. That’s OK, I love checking in on what’s been posted but different styles have really different reasons for being loved.
cut us some slack, jack! south of the mason-dixon line is our only point of reference. If we could talk about haute couture things like music, fine wine, literature or rocks, we would. but we are incapable, so we don’t. it’s not that we’re oafish, it’s a syndrome or disorder or medical malady of some sort. not our fault. like some sort of class-struggle tourette’s.
