I'm back online. I feel quite sad at missing the fun on this one, but I have to say that I've downloaded the various mixes and the latest version is sounding awesome!!
T. I would have loved to have contributed some of the vox but I'm not sure that I can add anything to what you've already done. I'll maybe sing it through and send you the file and you can add whatever you want from it. I don't have an ego, so feel free to use as much or as little as you want Is that ok with you?
Diogenes. Glad you came on board. The last mix you posted was brilliant. The drum sound is great and the whole groove of the song is working extremely well. Some tasty guitar work.
Yaz. Well, the words were inspired by you and I've heard your various contributions as the beast developed. I'm amazed how well it's come together. Congratulations to one and all.

You probably want hear anything from me for the next week or so as I will be attending a meeting of the Society for Ecological Toxicology and Chemistry in the wonderful metropolis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. No time for music. *Sigh*.
Having heard what you’ve come up with I don’t think I can do anything melodically with the vox! I think you wrote the tune with the vocal melody in mind and it fits nicely. Everyone is working around that melody and it’s coming together beautifully. I have to confess, I’ve tried to record a vocal track a few times today and I’ve failed miserably, it could be because I can hear your voice in the phones and it’s throwing me, or it could be that it’s simply too hard for me. C’est la vie!
I’ll ask Diogenes to post me a mix without vox and give it another go, but feeling a bit overawed at the moment Cheers, Ian
I had virtually NO time to do anything with the song over the weekend. I got that mix off to Bruffie and that’s about it. I’ll get back on it soon. I’m hoping Bruffie and T can give me some neat vox to play with. Harmonies anyone? It’s cool what you can do with ReaPitch and a little time…
A new mix with (I hope) better guitars from yours truly is on the way. I still have nothing to compliment Yaz’s excellent outro but I’m working on it. Had a stab at some different drums but came away unhappy. These sound pretty darn good IMO. When I have more time, I’ll load up AD and have a go at some crashes, toms etc…
How are the VOX coming? Any news?

Hi Bruffie and Diogenes, man the DSL here is not working worth a crap. Getting booted off faster than dial up. Will check back to see if any revisions are up. How’s the vocals coming Bruffie? D, you know what they say about guitarist, ‘dime a dozen’, I’m in the ‘nickel a thousand’ catagory, LOL. I’m sure what you’ve done is excellent. Hope to hear it soon but understand about Mediafire. Sometimes it’s fast uploads, other times it’s like dial up, could be a traffic thing maybe?

I started a listen and thought, omg TG was mixing with cotton stuffed into his ears, then suddenly, whoooshhhhh, the song starts and lo and behold! Cool intro mix, I LIKES IT!
By the way, I owe you an apology Yaz. I promised no Strat… err… well, I couldn’t help it. That first break is single-coil Strat “hair” sho’ nuff. The second one was the Strat but with the bucker pickup.

EDIT: I’ve been listening to Pink Floyd all morning. I truly, truly dig Gilmour’s guitar tones. The man is a genius with a Strat. But then, I suppose you could give Sir David a Ukele with two strings broken and he would still sound like Sir David.
Done a vocal track and harmony. Just a couple of bits that I’m not happy with, but my Boss here this last 3 days so haven’t escaped to finish it. Will finish tomorrow night and post.
