The CBC and Ron MacLean (for anyone who knows Ron) works the “Colour” with Grapes, on the NHL Games… Anyway, Ron was interviewing Gary Betman… Everyone in Hockey knows who he is… Anyway, they got Gary to ask at the end of the interview … To ask where Grapes is Know one knows where he is… You see… Grapes is “Death” against European Hockey… Well… there’s nothing like the NHL Game in Grapes’s mind…

Not a whisper from grapes? We’re not getting the canadian coverage here - we’re getting Emrick and Davidson and Bill Clement - I always thought that the Gary Thorne, Bill Clement team was as good as it gets in sports journalism - but Thorne seems to be off doing something else this year.

I agree… It’ll be interesting to see and hear how Grapes resopnds to just what did happen over there… If his positive responses out-weigh his negitive responses… then I’d say IT was O.K. comming from him… We’ll only find out, saturday night… That’s if they allow him to speak to the Hockey Fans on Hockey Night in Canada… regarding the Games…
On the observations of what I saw as the third period wound down… I’d have to say that the NHL Style started/began to sneek into the Game…
You’re right Tom… Too many of those kids are takeing NHL Showmanship and TUDE from what they’re learning from the NHL Teams that are paying them too much money to do what they like doing…
But… IT was Hockey, at-it’s-best…

I Get It… hehe… The comprehension Factor of Red Neck needs some readjustment on the scale. Anyway, we’ll get the IOC workin on some Games that’ll include Red Neck partisipation… But, we gotta get Dick Pound, (He’s the IOC Drug Whistle Blower) to O.K. the process to include whatever series of Games, that fits…
I remember years ago… it used to be the the Wings and Sabres and the Islanders North Stars Black Hawks and Winnipeg… the early years of the expansion teams… It was exciting and good hockey… to watch… There was so many great players… Mabey, with the CAP… that kind of Hockey will come back…

Hey what can I say but “CANES” it has been a great season for them. Lot of great teams in the east this year, but the Cup finals could show up an underdog, a spoiler of sorts.
You are soo right. Tampa Bay stepped up and put on a real clinic… The Brad Richards line looked soo good when they came on the ice. in the Stanley Cup… that year… I think the “Lay-Off”… last seson hurt Brad…
But for some reason they didn’t show that in the Olympics… In fact what I saw was… The lines that skated against them seemed to outplay them at-their-game… Brad and StLouis play much better that that on NHL Ice… Well… They couldn’t be beaten in Stanley Cup Play… That line played so well, together…
IT looked like Brad had +STARS+ in his eyes over in Italy… Can I get away with saying that?
I don’t wantta get “Grapes” on my neck… haha…

Although the hurricanes have done a fabulous job in the management and coaching departments, so in truth (oh, it HURTS to say this) their success should come as no surprise, and it is fully deserved.
Thank goodness I have never had to say that of a team that will always remain nameless that plays over on the west coast and has some association with Disney!
