I’ve never heard that club “Nick’ed” as the “CANES”… But IT makes perfect sense… I think there’s some good young talent and energy on that bench… However, I think they need a bit more “HYPE” aimed their way… There’s not a whole lot of talk regarding that team up in this corner… If there is… At least, I don’t hear IT…

Hockey Night In Canada is gonna be interesting saturday night It may never be the same… If I know “Grapes”… and if he’s able/allowed to say what’s on his mind… The Canadian and USA Hockey BRASS may very well be in for a “Toung Lashing”…

Well the HurriCANES have struggled since the last apperance for the Cup finals, that big butt whuppin Detroit put on us. T’was in a band witha drummer from Detroit at the time and had to eat alot of crow over that one. But a lot of rebuilding and being in the cellar has paid off. Just wish the people of NC would learn to appreciate hockey as much as they do football.

And what do you supposed Grapes will say? I can't wait.
The thing is, the hurricanes organization is good. A bad year or so, well, that happens. It's the people in management and the coaches who really matter sometimes. Just like buffalo, actually.
this is the best season in 20 years.

If he doesn’t say anything regarding what happened over there in Italy… I’m gonna say the CBC and the NHL has already “Gagged” him… There’s not a lot he doesn’t know about the Sport… in his own way, of course. He’s not the definitive mind of IT all, but he has eyes… and he spends most of his time analyzing what he knows… He can/knows how to step on “Toes”, and He loves the sport and what he does… so Look out Hockey…
You see… they have him on a seven second delay… I’d like to know who has their finger on the “Button”, and what do they know about the Sport? 
Whoever they are…
Don’t forget… If you can see IT… The first period intermission…

That Lockout doesn’t seemed to have hurt Hockey, in the least…
If I knew what I was talking about, I’d say the the MBL needs a “Facelift”… There’s some pretty high wages paid in baseball… The Glory Days of the 50’s and 60’s are nowhere to be seen… I can remember listening to the World Series on the Radio… There wern’t any TV back then… Am I that Old?
I agree with this being the best hockey season since the '80’s. Not just because of the Canes either.

I can remember sitting around the radio in the livingroom on Saturday and Sunday nights… It seemes to me IT was the Green Hornet and Dick Tracey. and The Lone Ranger… and Gean Autry… They were 15 minute shows… if I remember… Somehow, I don’t remember the advertising… but it was the advertising that carried the “Serials”… I think the Three Studges were on there, as well… And Bob Hope and It just kept on going… Charlie McCarthey… Raztis… ?
Saturday night Hockey came from Maple Leaf Gardens and the Montreal Form… Danny Galavan Who “Called” the Games from Toronto? I forget… Who was IT TomS? As I remember, this Radio was the center of what revolved around being HOME… Of course, other things Happened… but the Radio is some of the early things I remember…
