Yikes!

Okay, I am game. The problem is the real trolls seem to have given up on this thread. Nothign fills a therad faster than a good ole troll.

Ok, I’ll have a crack.

The United States is about 6 inches from falling into the abyss of morbid fundamentalism.

Discuss.

Only 6 inches?

Aw gee Willy! Give us something to ARGUE about! :D Like who is cooler… Snoop Dogg or Shaq. You know… IMPORTANT S$%T! :D :D

OK…how about this? I disagree, Willy. It’s much worse than that. The whole Republican-led government has fallen so far into a hole of ignorance and arrogance that they are prevented from understanding their own stupidity about the problems they wish to solve. If that is not true then we are in even worse shape, meaning they are doing it all on purpose in an effort to create problems that will further their own person gains when faux-solving the issues.

(Is that far enough out in left field to entice some interesting discussions?)

Isn’t that called “crisis management” phoo?

oops! I did not mean to contribute to this silly quest for a century. :(

Yes, of course. Create a crisis and manage it. That’s also a great way to divert attention from whatever real mismanaged crisis there may be at the time.

(Come on folks…where’s the venom? We need some as a tribute to Snakes on a Plane.)

I have run out of venom. Got plenty of resignation and frustration left though… still poison. Just a different kind I guess.

I just gotta wonder what shape we would be in if Kerry/Edwards had won. I’m figuring it would be more or less the same situation. Specially if the GOP still had both houses.

D

But back to the topic at hand…

The religious right will never stop till they’ve destroyed America and the world.

Here’s proof!

The way to get rid of these losers is to tax them out of participation. Allow churches tax breaks on actually doing something “physical” in their community. No tax breaks for “missionary work” (you know spreading the manure) or politics.

Damm! Just remembered, August 16, the day Babe Ruth died! Sorry Yaz. :(

(Oh yeah, some southern boy also OD’ed today, but who remembers him! )

You mean besides Idi Amin?

Not to go on topic or anything…
But I don’t get it,
The Christian religious right is trying to fulfill prophecies with legislative maneuvers.
While the Muslim extremist prefer a more direct aproach to prophetic agendas.

As much as their views oppose each other they ironically are working together! :p

It seems God has a way of using the good and the evil ones to complete His plan.(not suggesting either group is good or evil only that both types of groups can be used) :)

Me, I believe the words of Jesus when he said the end won’t come until the Gospel ( or as KF affectionately calls it “manure”) is spread to the four corners of the earth.
That would mean every person on earth would need to know of God’s undying LOVE for humanity. And His infinite GRACE, for us ALL. It’s gonna be a long time till the end folks! :D Heck there’s enough people on my block who don’t know the Good News, it will take me some time just to get around to my neighbors…let alone the rest of this ball of mineral water. ???

And considering how many Christians aren’t even spreading the right message…statistically the end is pretty far off.

So relax guys, drink up, and toast a cheer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for making a prophecy that is so difficult to fulfill by meer mortals.

keep shinin’

jerm

Your god needs people to fulfill his/her/its agenda?

Shit poor god it seems to me.

Does he/her/it pay union rate? If so, I could play a pretty mean harmonica in a heavenly choir.

The Earth has four corners? Dammit! I thought it was triangular. Well, that’ll learn me to eat Dorrito’s in temple. :(

Ah! Finally! Someone who knows the right message!

Awaiting with bated breath, poised psyche, and clenched scrotum; (but sadly, no bean dip. :( )

We don’t gotta nail you to anything after you tell us do we? 'Cos my hammer’s broke and I’m fresh out of lumber. So something more mystical and numinous would be appreciated; and don’t forget the light show…I always love a good light show. :D )
