which is actually taken out of context & therefore sounds worse than Gates meant it to. Here’s the original quote:

“America’s high schools are obsolete,” Gates said. “By obsolete, I don’t just mean that they’re broken, flawed or underfunded, though a case could be made for every one of those points. By obsolete, I mean our high schools _ even when they’re working as designed _ cannot teach all our students what they need to know today.”
If you can’t see the bias here, please don’t reply to this thread. Thanks.
Surely Franken doesn't EVER show his bias, right? Sure he does - he admits it up front. However, Franken's main goal is to expose lies & deception. He does it well sometimes but other times, he get caught up in his own trip alittle too much.
Don't get me wrong, it's OK for Drudge to be baised - I don't have any problem with that. I just want to make sure that we all understand & agree that he's biased (and can see the bias because it's pretty blatant).

We've all heard you drone on endlessly about this. You've made your point very clear, and there is no doubt about how you feel. However, if you're of the mindset that that you're not going to give up until everyone agrees with you, than you are in for some frustrating times. The best you can hope to achieve is to wear everyone one down with your persistence; everyone else gets tired of playing and drops out of the argument. While this might make you feel like the King-Of-The-Sandbox for a bit, surely you understand that it is not a victory at all, yes? Sometimes you just have to realize that no everyone sees things the way that you do. Sometimes the best thing to do is just to agree to disagree on an issue, and move on to something that you might have in common with the other person (or group).
